Refund policy
Last updated November 5, 2026
A Halden plan set is a digital file. You download it right after payment, and once you have it, it can’t be returned. That is why refunds are limited to the cases below. We show this policy before checkout and ask you to accept it when you pay.
You haven’t downloaded the file
If you ask within 14 days of purchase and our records show the plan set was never downloaded, we refund the full price.
The file is defective
If the PDF won’t open, is incomplete, a sheet is missing, or the drawings contain a drafting error, tell us within 30 days of purchase. We will send a corrected file at no charge, usually within five business days. If we can’t provide a working, complete file, we refund the full price.
Duplicate purchase
If you were charged twice for the same plan by mistake, we refund the duplicate charge.
What isn’t refundable
- A plan set that has been downloaded, if the file is complete and works.
- A plan needing local adaptation, engineering or a professional seal, or not meeting zoning rules, setbacks or covenants for your lot. We describe this on every listing and in our terms, and we are glad to answer questions before you buy.
- A change of mind about the design, the lot or the project after download.
Add-ons
If you ask within 14 days of purchase and you haven’t yet generated the cost-to-build estimate or downloaded the quantity takeoff, we refund that add-on. If an add-on file won’t open or is incomplete, we fix it or refund it. An estimate that differs from the bids you later receive is not a defect: it is a regional statistical range, as the document explains.
Modifications and CAD files
Modification work and CAD files are quoted in writing before we start. You can cancel for a full refund before work begins. After work begins, we refund the portion not yet completed.
How to ask
Write to our contact form with the email you used at checkout and the plan number. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method; your bank usually shows them within 5 to 10 business days.
This policy doesn’t limit any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your state.
